Ambition…..Dedication…..Passion. These are just some of the words that could be used to describe Aaron Clark, unquestionably one of the fastest rising stars in the house music scene in the Northeast and Midwest region.
Entering the local electronic music scene just two years ago at the tender age of 19, he has been making heads turn with his flurry of bookings and residencies that have already come his way. The longest running club night in Pittsburgh, Electrasoul @ Zythos in Pittsburgh’s Southside was Aaron’s very first gig and it proved to be an important one. He had impressed the Electrasoul crew so much with his energetic set that he was asked to come on board and be a monthly resident.
Since Electrasoul, Aaron also secured an additional residency at the now defunct Fridays @ Muse. 2004 and 2005 have seen him opening for DJs such as Steve Porter, Micro, Joshua Ryan, and Vitamin D before he was even legally allowed to drink! Aaron then moved on with Nightvision in 2005 to take a major role in Pittsburgh's largest EDM club night in years, "Spin" @ Sanctuary, as well as hosting a coinciding radio show on the legendary Mercury Sessions internet station. Getting thrown into the dance music scene by the early music of Norman Cook while in middle school, Aaron's tastes have quickly progressed with musical influences in practically every sub-genre of dance music that currently exists. Always carrying an incredibly versatile cache of vinyl, Aaron has refined into a very unique and energetic sound which makes it enormously difficult to pigeon hole. Depending on when and where Aaron is in performance you are sure to hear a wide variety of masterfully programmed house music; from funk-filled, soulful, electro house, to cutting edge chugging progressive and tech house with a heap of techno thrown in for good measure.
Aaron’s dedication to this music has been seen and heard throughout the music community far and wide in 2005 and will continue well beyond as he moves into 2006.
Aaron can be heard every third Thursday of each month at 8pm as the co-host of "Spin Radio" on the legendary Mercury Sessions radio station. [ms] Listen in as he attempts to keep fellow hosts Paul Alexander and Philo under control and from getting us sued.
