For Landon Vernados, electronic music has grown to be more than just a hobby, but a way of life. His motto "One life.....endless possibilites" is apparent in his love for multiple genres of music from house, electro, and breaks, to progressive and trance. His sets always tend to be upbeat and energetic with audiences guessing as to what track may be dropped next.
Vernados credits all his talent to fellow Nightvision crew members Philo and LP who trained him in the ways of the turntables. However it was his love and dedication to the music and endless hours of practice that got Vernados on his way. An early trance addict of the late 90s Vernados's musical inspirations came from worldwide superstars like Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk. Now, with Vernados's ever growing passion for all genres of music, his favorites include Peace Division, Antoine Clamaran, Meat Katie, and Steve Porter, and the list goes on.
At 23 and
recent graduate from the College of Wooster, Vernados's skills are becoming
increasingly recognized as he can be seen spinning at parties almost every
weekend. Although his live performances in the 'burgh have been limited
due to school, expect to be hearing much more now that he has relocated
here. Since then, he has spun at Spin @ Sanctuary, Forward, Elevate @
the Market Street Ale house For my Bleeps @ Z:lounge and Taste:Z @ Z:Lounge.
Vernados's most memorable performance to date was at last years annual
Lumberjack Fest in Wooster. He rocked the nearly 600 deep outdoor flock
of party-goers with a headlining set. Keep your eyes peeled for Landon
in the new year, armed with a barrage of smoking hot promotional material,
Vernados will be sure to win over a great deal of new fans in 2006.
